hi everybody, my name is olivia and i’m a 20 year old mentally ill trans woman living with my family in florida. i’m making this post because i really need your help. living with my family is, in a way, good for me because i know food and shelter aren’t immediate concerns for me right now. however, as most of my followers and friends know, there’s a problem with alcoholism in my house and it’s really put a strain on my mental health in the last couple of months.

i need help from everyone who can spare it. i’m hoping to get a job in the next week or two depending on how my interviews are scheduled, and i plan on saving as much of that money as i can, because my overall plan is ultimately to move out of my house in florida and move in with my partner, rory, in california. however, my job is not guaranteed and even if i get it, it will be part time, meaning i most likely won’t be able to get the hours i need to move out in time.

this is a link to a paypal account that rory and i set up for donations. there will also be donate buttons on rory’s and my blogs. if you can spare just a little bit, every dollar really does help us. if everyone who sees this post and is in the position to donate gives even just $5, that would be a huge help.

rory and i will also be making thank-you packages and sending them out to all of the people who donate over $9. everyone who donates a dollar or more will get a thank-you card from us. we will be making and sending the cards and packages after i’m done moving into our new apartment and we’ve gotten ourselves in a stable financial situation, so expect them around january 2015 (it might be earlier than that though!).

anyways, the point i’m trying to make is that i’m in really dire need of help. moving out is a matter of my physical and mental well-being. this is not something i want to do, but something i feel i need to do. please, if you can’t donate then please, please signal boost this post.

hi everyone!! i just realized that the xkit extension that allows you to assign nicknames to people you follow is actually perfect for putting peoples’ preferred pronouns right there on my dash where i can see them! if we’re in a mutual please send me an ask/fanmail/message on skype with your preferred pronouns so i can keep those in mind.

also i think everyone with xkit installed should reblog this tbh making sure you know the preferred pronouns of the people you follow is super important so you don’t accidentally misgender people.

hi everyone! i want to direct your attention to toby kachel. toby knows a friend of mine and he recently made an incredibly offensive post about people who suffer from eating disorders, then tagged it #thinspo and messaged my friend letting them know he had done it. he posted this picture on his blog (#ed #ed tw for those who don’t want to see it) http://trolledbot.net/pix/7230.jpg and then explicitly told my friend that he made the post to be inflammatory and to offend people. he has since deleted the photo on tumblr but afterwards posted it here.

long story short, toby used a picture of a girl without her consent, then posted it on tumblr where it could potentially trigger multiple people, and TOLD my friend (who by the way, explicitly told him not to do so) that he had done it. he then posted the picture on a website whose population seems akin to sites like 4chan, essentially the scum of the earth, who are continuing to fan the flames, congratulating him on his work.

Okay, so I made a petition (http://www.change.org/petitions/facebook-provide-nonbinary-gender-options#supporters) requesting that Facebook offer neutral gender labels and pronouns. Please sign it, reblog this post so that your followers can see/sign/reblog as well, and feel free to offer me a more detailed/well written description or just advice for additions I could put on it.
